Logitech PowerPlay Mouse Pad Review

The latest Logitech innovation is a system to charge the mouse wirelessly when you play with it. You won’t run out of battery during a heated battle again. The Power Play works exactly as promised, and the modified mouse is as right as before.

Currently, there are two compatible mice: Logitech G903 ($ 150) and G703 ($ 100). The first is basically the Spectrum Chaos G900; the last is basically Prodigy G403. The entire difference is that the G903 and G703 get a removable battery that utilizes both the new Lightspeed wireless mounting technology from PowerPlay and Logitech.

The battery life on a Logitech wireless mouse has never been a problem, as far as we concerned. Both the G903 and G703 will give you playing time between 20 and 25 hours, depending on your lighting options. Both recharge quickly via USB, and both allow you to play when you are charging.

In the end, nothing else like Powerplay, but “this works well” is the only convincing analysis we can do. We won’t run out of buying one for myself. And I’m not sure if I would recommend it to anyone other than the most dedicated esports fans.

However, if you are in the market to buy a new mouse, getting the G903 or G703 rather than their non-PowerPlay counterpart might make sense, if Logitech decides to do something more interesting with PowerPlay on the road.
