Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball Review

Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball Mouse emphasizes comfort and ergonomics above all. Trackball design takes time to get used to, but if you can get used to the unique input interface, this mouse will give you long-term comfort.

To say the Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball Mouse design is unconventional would be an understatement. Compared to almost all other mice, it looks like it made for aliens. An attractive aesthetic is not an accident.

Unlike other mice that require you to hold the mouse and move it around the table, Logitech M570 remains silent. To navigate, you can place your hand on the mouse and your thumb on the oversized blue trackball. This design not only reduces the pressure that is instead placed outside your hand but also minimizes overall movement by only using your thumb as a control.

Indeed, it takes a little time to get used to. After more than ten years with a more conventional mouse design, testing this layout is a change in speed. However, hour after hour, it became clear why this ancient design was still strong. It feels natural, and even though the movements don’t feel right compared to other mice, it doesn’t make nearly as much strain on our hands. We spent more than 50 hours testing this mouse at the time of writing this review, and absolutely, we are in no hurry to return to a conventional mouse.

The Bad > It takes some time to get used to using the trackball, Browser buttons are placed far from users’ fingers, The buttons make relatively loud clicking noises.

The Good > Comfortable over a long period of time, Precise cursor control, Works on any surface, Long wireless range, Long battery life

Conclusion > Trackball M570 is a great device to have and it deserves a better place on the market.
