Logitech G602 Gaming Mouse Review
Logitech has a rather subtle style when it comes to mice, and the G602 is no exception. Most are black with gunmetal accents and feature various patterns and finishes on various surfaces to help grip and taste. It’s different from other gaming mice which tend to have sharp corners, brightly colored accents, and RGB lighting. The G602 looks less striking and more professional, which can be a big selling point if you want to use it in the office too.
Beyond the standard scroll wheel and the left / right mouse buttons, the mouse displays eleven adjustable buttons along the left side of the mouse, where the thumb is located. This layout makes it easy to assign various game and macro actions to the buttons and activate them with a simple, quick flick of the thumb. In our time with the mouse, we see the back button on the thumb rest is rather difficult to activate quickly at times, but once we can master it, we can adjust our grip quickly.
The G602 uses Logitech’s Delta Zero laser sensor, which is designed to offer optimal performance without compromising battery life. Dot Per Inch settings (a measure of mouse sensitivity) range from 250 DPI to 2500 DPI. It can quickly switch through five presets using the G10 and G11 buttons mentioned on the left mouse.
Now, 2,500 DPI is far from the top of the line in terms of a more modern gaming mouse, but in the more than 50 hours we spent with the mouse playing everything from Fortnite to Skyrim, we never felt as if that wasn’t enough. For accuracy. Not to mention the ability to adjust on-the-fly sensitivity is an underestimated benefit for times when you need more precision – especially when looking through the scope or making micro-adjustments in a first-person shooter game.
The Bad > No RGB, Requires batteries
The Good > Great ergonomics, Solid number of macro buttons, No wires, Lag-free
Conclusion > G602 is a wireless gaming mouse that gives you great sensitivity for the most demanding first-person shooters without sacrificing on comfort.
