Logitech C930e Business Webcam Review
If you work hard to become professional at your job, you don’t want your webcam to make you look grainy and dark when teleconferencing. Log in to the Logitech Webcam C930e, a $ 98 company-focused camera with a wide field of view and exceptional noise cancellation. However, the C930’s color is not always accurate and is not accompanied by photo or video capture software, which makes the cheaper C920 a better choice for some people.
C930e is one thick webcam. It measures 3.7 inches end to end, including speakers, LED lights, and camera lenses. That is almost identical to the Logitech consumer model for this device, the HD C920 Webcam, where they share a body and design. The two main differences are that the C930e is black and silver, while the C920 is all black, and the business version includes a privacy cover. Plastic shields have doors that pull up and down to hide you from prying eyes and can protect the lens from scratches.
The camera uses an arm to fit above the laptop screen or an external monitor. The hinges adjust the length, and the rubber feet hold the camera securely in place. If you like to keep your webcam on your desk, the C930e has a tripod hinge at the bottom that allows you to secure it to a standard camera holder.
The USB cable attached to the back of the camera is 6 feet long, which is long enough to reach even the farthest USB port in your settings.
Image and Sound Quality
The C930e takes sharp and detailed photos and videos with a broad field of view but has some problems with color accuracy. When I take pictures and videos of myself with a webcam in a well-lit room in our lab, my pink shirt appears bright red in cherry color. The image was so saturated that I found it disturbing, although some of my colleagues preferred the clarity. My skin also looks paler than usual, and believe me. It’s hard to do. Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 is much more precise in terms of color reproduction.
C930e performs well in low light too. I took pictures in a dark room without a window with only a laptop screen light, and the company webcam captured a little more detail than a consumer-oriented brother: I could see hair on my head & the wall behind me.
Surrounding sound in my video was almost completely blocked. A colleague was watching the video next to me when I was filming, but you can’t even hear it. I didn’t sound too crisp, but my voice was loud and clear enough to be understood.
The C920 has a field of view of 90 degrees. If you sit down, there is plenty of room to comfortably fit others in the frame or show the background behind you. The C920 offers a field of view of 78 degrees lower, but that is still plenty of room for a second person.
The C930e is not compatible with the software offered by Logitech on consumer-oriented models because it uses different codecs and video drivers. That means you can’t use any chat filters and avatars or motion detectors that are fun. The main software components, the remote on the screen to be tilted and enlarged, can be downloaded separately.
It makes the C930e without a stand-alone application for recording photos and videos (if you try Logitech’s, it doesn’t use full 1080p resolution). If you need to take a quick snapshot or record it to your hard drive, you might need to look for software if you don’t have a camera program as part of your operating system (Windows 10 comes with camera software).
Logitech Webcam C930e, a business camera that takes sharp and detailed photos and videos also has a wide 90-degree field of view, but is rotated fast and loose with color. Besides, it loses compatibility with some Logitech software itself due to different drivers and codecs. Instead, he got a plug-in for teleconferencing applications.
You can get a better deal with the consumer version of $ 60, Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920, which offers more accurate colors, support for Logitech software, and a viewing angle of 78 degrees that are still wide enough to fit two people in a frame. You will, however, give up the C930e superior noise cancellation.
However, if you work in a hard and busy office, do not need Logitech recording software, or require the broadest possible viewing area, the C930e is your best choice.
- Inaccurate colors
- No photo/video capture software
- Wide field of view
- Sharp photos and video
- Great noise cancellation
Conclusion > The Logitech Webcam C930e takes sharp photos and videos and cancels out ambient noise, but its colors are inaccurate and many of its best features can be found in a cheaper model.
